Last I checked, the power to impose taxes, including tariffs, is held by Congress, not the President. Also, any bill designed to raise revenue must originate in the House of Representatives specifically. Is anyone going to, you know, mention that, as Trump goes on signing executive orders?

My proposal for comprehensive election reform (to break the power of campaign finance corruption and the two-party duopoly).
Article 1. All elections for federal offices shall be governed by the regulations established by the United States Congress and administered by a Federal Elections Commission established by Congress. All regulations must apply equally to all U.S. states and territories. Article 2. The federal election system established by Congress must meet the following criteria: • It shall use a Ranked Choice Voting system for all elections, with up to ten nominated candidates for each race appearing on the ballot. • Each election year shall include a Nominating Round in May (in which voters nominate one candidate per race) and an Election Round in November (in which voters rank the choices appearing on the ballot). • During each round of polling, polling places shall be open for 168 consecutive hours simultaneously in all parts of the country. Ballots shall not be counted nor results announced until polling is closed. • Congress shall make reasonable provision for voters who are unable to come to a physical polling place to ensure that they are able to vote. • The polling system shall provide both an electronic and an auditable physical record of all votes cast. Article 3. All U.S. citizens aged 18 or older shall be eligible to vote, except as Congress may establish restrictions based upon conviction of criminal activity. The Federal Elections Commission shall automatically issue to each eligible voter an identification card with a photograph of the voter’s face. This card shall be issued at no cost to the voter, and shall be required to be presented to the designated polling official at the time when a voter casts a vote, except as Congress may provide exception for voters who are unable to physically come to a polling place. Article 4. Only eligible U.S. voters shall be eligible to appear on federal ballots or to be elected to federal office. All eligible U.S. voters shall hold these eligibilities, except as Congress may establish restrictions based upon conviction of crim…

1. Trump will continue to nominate to his cabinet unacceptable people like Matt Gaetz, who pretty clearly has committed felonies in regards to sex with a minor and prostitution.
