Congratulations to the amazing MVMC team @myvoicemychoice.bsky.social, @abiralsahlani.bsky.social and all who fought this important battle in the EP for access to safe #abortion!
All eyes on the @ec.europa.eu now!! ๐Ÿ‘€
We count on you to do the right thing and set up this solidarity mechanism!
Good news!

Today, the European Parliament voted in favour of the My Voice, My Choice EU-wide abortion access initiative.

This scheme would be a significant step in addressing inequalities in access to abortion care. Now, the @ec.europa.eu must turn this momentum into concrete action.

Sex without consent is #rape.
Yet, this is still not ensured all over the EU.
Thanks to MEPs Scheuring-Wielgus & Incir and all others who continue the fight for a consent-based definition across the EU.

You have to look very hard to spot human rights here.

Last week's @ec.europa.eu Joint Communication on the EU-India strategic agenda has even less commitment on rights than last time in 2018.

And not a mention of the profound rights crisis affecting people across India.

๐ŸŽ‚ Happy birthday to Chinese journalist Zhang Zhan.

After a brief moment of freedom, she has now spent over a year detained on vague criminal charges, awaiting an unfair trial.

๐Ÿ“ขNew @amnesty.org report on how the Venezuelan authorities commit enforced disappearances as part of a widespread & systematic attack against the civilian population, particularly those they consider dissidents.

These amount to crimes against humanity.
