New meta-analysis shows children with #AKI have impaired growth—especially infants. Involving 3,586 children across 17 cohorts, those with #AKI had significantly lower height and weight z-scores than those without.

Growth monitoring should be a priority after pediatric #AKI.

We are moving into an era in clinical medicine where we are finally able to aggregate individual predictors to assess risk on a continuous scale at different time-points using ML algorithms, but do we actually know what we are doing? There are so many poorly calibrated and misleading models.
