Has there ever been a study where an age-controlled set of the population is quizzed over time about the same period of time? Like, every year, survey a bunch of people and ask them how 1983 was, and then see how the response evolves over time.

they don't tell you this, but when someone sets up a meeting that includes you, you can just send your info upfront to be helpful, and like 50% of the time this will obviate the need for a 45min meeting with 5-10mins of effort

plain old files are totally underrated for state management, these days whenever I need to batch process something I ask myself "how would you set this up if you had to run it using a makefile?"

the reason this is a thing is that each downslope payoff for previous automation work triggers a much stronger reward signal than the steady linear progress of doing things manually
