this man fears for his life when he sees a grandma with her bag on the second seat on a subway
Sean Duffy: "If you come to a protest with a 9mm firearm, that's fine believing in the Second Amendment, but you stand on the sidewalk and you hold your sign. You take that 9mm and you start to engage with ICE officers, and then you resist arrest -- listen, I don't want anyone to die, but ... "

Still can't believe they immediately put the officers who killed Pretti back in the field. Even if the shooting had been justified (it wasn't), it's just incredibly callous and reckless -- to the public, but also to the officers themselves. Just a sociopathic dearth of humanity.

WOW on Pretti's denial of medical treatment

"I informed the ICE agents that I am a physician, and I asked to
assess the victim.

At first, the ICE agents wouldn't let me through. ... But none of the ICE agents who were near the victim were performing CPR, ... None of the agents were helping him."

Just staggered by the complete moral void of not even *pretending* to wait for more information before pivoting to “the opponent of the state deserved it.” It is so insanely depraved. Soulless.

Many of us have been pointing out that the readiness with which these agents have drawn weapons, and gotten their fingers anywhere near the trigger, is WILDLY contrary to best practices and the sort of thing that inevitably leads to people getting shot.

The FBI is a rule-bound and tight-lipped institution, but 45 current and former agents spoke to The New York Times Magazine anyway — a sign of the extreme alarm rippling through it. Many said that with the agency under Kash Patel's leadership, the U.S. is less safe. nyti.ms/4qzxs0f
