Seasons changing, as the monsoons finally give way to winter. Reproduction in high gear with buds, flowers, and mature seedpods abounding across the garden.

Found my happy spot again. It's been too long. I feel so at peace when I'm deep inside the mangrove forest. A magnificent journey on the first proper day of winter. 🌳🛶🌳

You barely ever see the radar go beyond the dark red into the light pink zone. Bangkok getting whalloped on right as the river is about to burst its banks. Fun times for a city mostly 5 meters or less above sea level. 🙃

All these blooms are tiny (less than 1cm) and growing in the cracks on the side of the pavement during my morning walk with the dogs. Easily missed, but offering endless beauty & form if you stop long enough to appreciate them.

Shall never not be amazed at running into these dinosaurs in my daily life here in Bangkok. Saw one sauntering down an alley about 2 blocks from our shophouse just the other day when I was returning from the market. You get remarkably used to seeing them.

How is it that in spite of being a ridiculous bibliophile I'm JUST NOW learning about the Open Library project? I've been building my own digital library for over a dozen years and have sometimes struggled to catalog them well due to lack of standardized data. WHY didn't y'all tell me, lol? 📚

Take my money, already! 💰😍
In nature, many organisms glow in the dark, like lightning bugs, some squid & jellyfish, using light to attract a mate or lure prey.

Now, researchers have engineered glowing succulents, plants that recharge in sunlight & shine bright at night, a step toward living, energy-free light sources.
