Summer of 1889: Inspired by the match girl's strike in the previous year, London's tailors and dockworkers join together in a general strike. The tailors demanded better pay, a 12 hour work day, a limit on overtime, and a 1 hour break for dinner and tea. They eventually won.
A strike poster says: "To tailors and tailoresses!!! Great Strike of London Tailors and Sweater Victims." Then it has info about the strike Poster says: Great Strike of London Tailors. The Strike is Not Over.

White woman puts Mexican flag on her truck to waste ICE’s time.
Scooby I am as white as a hotel towel, and the closest thing to Mexican I am was a single all inclusive resort stay in Cancun. I put a Mexican flag sticker on my old Tacoma abd was promptly pulled over by ICE in San Antonio. Statement by Translucent providing some context…

Written by a lawyer with decades of experience in this area.
Translucent is disappointed with today’s Supreme Court judgement. However we need to consider the judgement carefully before responding fully. Translucent is aware that many in the trans community will be extremely worried by this decision and its implications. We would like to reassure them that they are still protected from discrimination, victimisation and harassment because of their protected characteristic of gender reassignment. If a trans community member experiences discrimination or harassment, we suggest they promptly seek legal support, whether from a local solicitor, free advice centre, or a family solicitor and consider what legal actions they can take to protect themselves and others. It is vital to remain calm whilst our legal teams evaluate the consequences of this decision and consider whether further action may be taken in the European Court of Human Rights to reinstate any rights we may have lost.
