A big double grey concrete mailbox inserted into a red brick wall. Above it a metal sign is screwed into the wall but whatever had been written there is long gone. The upper mailboxes slit has been inexpertly sealed shut with something like white plaster. Somebody has crudely drawn a yellow arrow pointing downwards towards the slit of the lower mailbox.

Black and white photo: A thin tree in a mulch and dirt-covered enclosure at the roadside between cars. At the bottom of the tree is an inflatable dog toy that small children can ride on. It doesn't have much air left in it, most probably somebody left it out with the trash but it wasn't collected because it wasn't in a trash bag. The whole scene is reminiscent of real pets abandoned at the roadside because their owners don't want them anymore.
