An independent United Nations commission said Israel was committing genocide in Gaza.

It found indications of intentions to destroy, in whole or in part, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as a group — which it said amount to genocide.
U.N. commission finds that Israel committed genocide in Gaza
Israel rejected the conclusions, which echo those of a growing group of governments and human rights organizations.

Nobody:

Not a single person:

Absolutely no one:

BREAKING: Federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars tried to snatch 1st graders from LA elementary schools—told staff they had “parental consent.”

They lied. When pressed, they HID THEIR IDS. DHS admits they sent them. This wasn’t a welfare check. It was a test run for a police state.

Disappointed that Vancouver Sun Run organizers decided to move forward with the run today. Feels disrespectful to communities grieving after events at Lapu Lapu fest.

What does it say about our society and our rltnshp with grief when things are “business as usual” less than 12 later

I've heard back from the City of Vancouver.

They confirmed that they have approximately 265 staff "currently in the field" working the byelection.

That's a 79% dropoff from the 2017 byelection.

Odd they didn't mention that in their original explanation to media as to why lines were so long.
I've cracked the code of why byelection lineups are so long in Vancouver today.

It's not just a turnout question.

Compared to the 2017 byelection, the city decreased the number of election workers by EIGHTY PERCENT.

From 1,250 in 2017 to 250 this time around.

This was a staff recommendation.

EVs resolve one issue of automobile dependence: tailpipe emissions. They are as bad as ICE vehicles on noise (over 20 MPH), space, and embedded carbon and significantly worse on tire particulates, road wear and lethal crash force (20-25% heavier, faster acceleration).

Cars don’t solve car problems.
New paper compares non-exhaust pollution (brake and tire particulates) from ICE and EV cars.

Conclusion: EV's create more tire pollution b/c they're heavier, but less brake pollution due to regenerative braking.

EVs come out ahead overall if >15% of driving is in a city.

Some B.C. Conservatives appear to be in Washington D.C. for Trump's inauguration. Aisha Estey is the party's current president. #bcpoli
