I want to find the consultant who convinced Dems to stick with this framing, tie them to a stake, light a match, and tell everyone they have to decide between caring about saving them or caring about milk being 2% cheaper
The White House is laser focused on threatening a military takeover of Greenland.

Where’s the same focus on lowering costs?

It's actually been there for quite a while, but if you see the trailer itself you probably won't notice the crepes unless you look at the short side of the trailer. It's more about shaved ice or something like that.

There's a trailer up near the B&N in The Crossing with crepes -- but it advertises other things.

Synopsis: You need to kick more people out.

You will actually have a larger base of customers/attendees if you kick more people out. You will make more money. I am dead serious.

It was from Minetta Tavern, just over two weeks ago. The holiday vacation is an enormous hole in time.

I just had leftover coq au vin. It was good even from frozen, but I have absolutely no memory of which restaurant I got it from. I'm afraid Nam will make fun of me if I ask her.

Nam and I were confused.

I saw your post on IG...that burger looks sexy. Didn't know DC had a Bridge District!

I was walking through Gowanus this afternoon, which is now one big construction site, and was reminded of the following lines, which I wrote back in 2019 when the canal looked like this and I used to while away many an idle hour wandering free as a rat along its weed-bowered banks.

But have you *seen* how sexy those oil reserves in Nigeria are? Even better than Venezuela.

We went to Hao Ru out in Centreville before Christmas for Korean Chinese and it was good. It's just that Centreville is so much further for us than Annandale.

Doesn't he say that if you freeze and then strain the stock for the consomme the remainders are basically demi-glace?
That was our plan, just need to eat more leftovers out of the freezer!
January 4, 2026 at 8:48 PM
Where'd you go? I was just giving suggestions for Korean on Facebook and discussing how we need to go to ChoSunHwaRo

Nam sent me this video last week and it's amazing. I can't wait to try it - maybe next weekend after her Saturday morning Costco run.
I want to try to freeze some of the stock and make the consomme he talks about but don't know if we have room in our freezer.

Our traditional bougie new year's tradition - champagne and caviar! Later is lasagna and garlic bread.

I think this kimchi stew ramen I just made is going to kill me, spice-wise.
Have to do something to stop doom scrolling so much...

I had fond memories of a time we were at Last Call and corgi racing came on the TV. The whole bar was rapt.
