The world may be falling apart at the seams but here are the roses in our garden loving the sunshine … Albertine, Charles Darwin, Paul’s Himalayan Musk all over the apple tree and my fave Gertrude Jekyll. Wish I could make this post scratch’n’sniff.

“small boats” cost each UK taxpayer £80 annually
“Fat cat” UK tax avoiders cost each of the rest of us £1000- £3000 annually
Maybe Starmer should get the 70% of legitimate claimants into work and stop fuelling racism.
He cannot compete with Farage or Jenrick for nastiness (but 9/10 for effort).

After due consideration, having weighed up the relevant evidence, assessed the balance of arguments and gamed the likely implications, I have reached the conclusion that Keir Starmer can fuck off from a great height.

So heartened and full of hope after yesterday’s amazing protests in the USA. You got this, decent Americans. Keep up the pressure. Love, the somewhat Disunited Kingdom xx
3.5 million people turned out yesterday. Not one Capitol building stormed, not one police officer attacked. #handsoff

Absolutely epic speech from Cory Booker:
“The threats to the American people and American democracy are grave and urgent, and we all must do more to stand against them.”

And stand he did, giving proof through the night that the flag is indeed still there. 🤞🏼🇺🇸
