I was sure hoping that bi-partisan border bill back in May of 2024 would have passed. Thanks to Trump’s pressure, it failed. Senator Langford even voted against his own bill to add like 100 extra immigration lawyers to deport people faster. Today, we ask; what is supporting constituents directly.

Repeated patterns like this point to institutional design: militarized training, broad discretion, weak external oversight, and unions that block accountability. Swapping personnel without changing structure just resets the cycle.

The ICE officer filmed Renee’s face, vehicle, license plate number, he just needed to call police. He had no business stepping in front of her running vehicle. His partner had no business approaching her vehicle, attempting to force her out of it.

I think it’s important to point out: ICE does NOT have the same authority as a police officer. They do NOT have the power to enforce laws, only to engage in their specific tasks.

I've noticed that ICE agents keep yelling "18 USC § 111" at people filming them. I'd like to see the memo they all got on that talking point, and I'd like to know who sent it. Filming ICE or alerting your neighbors to their presence doesn't violate § 111.
