I think a lot of people misunderstand her theory. I believe it demands that politicians have strong policies to fix real problems, strategy to fight opposition, and plans to build a better future And it discourages the strategy of “vote for ___ just because s/he isn’t MAGA.” It encourages real work

I love it! All 5 of them on that stage appear to be having a fabulous time! This is what government needs to be again — joyfully recognizing humanity.

She is a brave, strong, hero.

She’s more than brave. She’s a national hero.

I’m glad that they are calling for an investigation into Mr Pretti’s murder. But it’s also telling that they went along with the admin’s resistance to an investigation into Ms Good’s murder. Misogyny has a strong pull on the Republican Party.

This headline is shameful. We all saw what happened. We all know the administration is lying. Don’t give them any credibility.

Why do you sound so measured in everything you say? ICE cannot be reformed. It’s an execution squad that’s occupying an American city. Lead with your anger or get out of the way.

I’m constantly thinking that what’s being seen isn’t really new. The Norman Rockwell image was fiction for much of America for most of our history.

ICE wears hoods. Everyone should stop calling them masks.

I stand 10 toes down that the WORST weather is cold and rainy. If it’s cold, the only welcome precipitation is snow. Rain and 35° is miserable.
January 18, 2026 at 2:53 PM
Rain in Aspen Hill. 😕 I know, I know, I know — we need the rain. But I was hoping for snow!

That’s my Senator!! He’s been doing a great job leading and fighting ICE.

Sometimes ya gotta tear shit down to rebuild better. It’s a lesson I keep hoping Democratic leadership learns. As always, you’re way ahead of them.

Jamelle Bouie uses Pig Man for JD Vance and Piss Baby for Steven Miller.
We need similar nicknames for these two.

You’re rarely happy to be visiting the hospital. It’s rubbing salt in the wound to pay exorbitant hospital parking fees.

This is an easy action to take! It takes 10 seconds to complete the form.

Who’s going to tell Democratic leadership that these are winning messages? The people have been advocating for this list for years. But nobody listens…

My family was waiting in line to enter into the musical Hamilton and Ken Burns asked to step in front of me to get a photo of his kids posing with the shadow figures outside the theater.

Exactly. Hold up that mirror to show the effects votes! Hold voters accountable to show why voting matters. If we remove responsibility from a vote, then we only prove that voting has no consequences and has little meaning now or in the future. Then give people a reason to vote for us in the future!
December 29, 2025 at 1:17 PM
Where did I say yell?

If voting has no repercussions then why does it matter? We must tie votes to the events that come after an election. As we hold the mirror up to show what voting for Trump brought, we need a solid platform (more than “we’re not him!”) to demonstrate what voting for us does.
December 29, 2025 at 12:56 PM
We shouldn’t blame the voters, but we should hold them accountable. As Josh Doss says, blame points fingers, accountability holds up mirrors. Accountability means we show the effects of your vote. And if voting is important (it is!), showing the effects of a vote is important, too.

I’m currently volunteering with groups to stop (or at least slow) the fall into fascism. I’m also supporting politicians that will take bold steps to fix things when possible. To me, it’s a multi-pronged set of actions that requires each to use our skills. Articles like this help lay a blueprint.

Indiana has banned virtually all access to abortion - including in cases of rape. A woman doesn’t need to willingly participate in any of part for a child to be born in a forced birth state.
