If you're looking for a pocket-sized Xmas present for a music-lover, consider the cool entries in the 33 1/3 Oceania series on notable LPs from Australia & Aotearoa NZ.

There is currently a 30% off sale for these on the Bloomsbury website, until the end of today.

Well I can’t speak for anyone else but I reckon this Others Way Festival has been a hit. Goddam I love Toody Cole, and Anthony Tonnon and Conan Moccasin, and Shazza’s alright too.

Meanwhile, Israel tear-gassed a kindergarten yesterday. And more Palestinian kids were murdered.

I take it Keir Starmer has no issue with the sale of "The Diary of a Young Girl" by Anne Frank. Yet. #FFS #GazaGenocide #GazaHolocaust #SupportPalestineAction #FreePalestine

Love this. I once prepped a tray of devils on horseback for a party and cooked them around 1am. I was worshipped as party goddess when I pulled them out of the oven. (Had any food ever tasted better?)
Sausage rolls are a good option too.
tfw you’re fucking the lasagna man for lasagna

Holy shit guys my sister booked us the swankiest hotel in Perth for my last night here. I think we might even be sharing a floor with the English cricket team!? It so fancy.
Don’t worry I am rubbing my grubby lil feet over every surface I can.

I went to Uniqlo for the first time since before the pandemic and I SPLurged pretty hard (for my discretionary income level). I have two new dresses, two new pairs of pants, a new stripey tshirt and a new bag. I'm gonna wear them so much this summer, I will be embarassed.

I have now been in Australia for five days and have successfully sighted multiple kangaroo in the wild. Best of all was a mum taking good care of her joey (who looked pretty big actually and like it was time to leave the nest really)

One of the best things I ever found out about the lunar missions is the fact that we have a transcript from Apollo 10 where the astronauts argue about who made the loose turds floating around the command module.

I've been in Aussie for four whole days now and have not yet seen a kangaroo.

I went out on the town in Fremantle last night. Was delighted to find book shops open late, like after 10 pm late!

our govt wants to spend 327 times more on a single road ($18b) than they are currently spending yearly on all of basic science in new zealand ($55m) #nzpol
The Northern Expressway we were told would cost $10 billion is now priced at $18 billion, or six times the Cook Strait crossing we were told was unaffordable. This is fantasy stuff. www.nzherald.co.nz/northern-adv...

After five years living in central Auckland I still feel like I hardly know anyone. But this afternoon I popped out for a couple of errands, I bump into my pal's niece on her way to compete in a DJ comp, then a friendly security guard from a former workplace now working at NW says hello, how are ya,

Happy Friday to the super wealthy country where 150,000 children live in poverty. That's about 1-in-8 young kiwis. Obviously, there is simply nothing to be done about this.
