Beaver On The Go

Castor canadensis, traveling away from its dam-building activities.
No beavers were harmed during any (photo) shoots.
No beaver hunters allowed.
Forget the overrated Elizabeth Tower (though we love ya, Big Ben!). We infiltrated the Palace of Westminster to find out what parliamentarians drink on the job. What!? Only water. Truly disappointing. This scandal will not get The Sun to reimburse our very expensive trip to London. 😞

You may think that not being made from flesh and blood makes life less fun. Well, you're wrong! I met this delightful polymer cow outside a London butcher shop, and guess what? She’ll never be turned into beef broth or an entrecôte. I must say, being made of plastic is pretty fantastic. #Photography

I hate it when tourists refuse to blend in. My photographers wouldn’t touch any iconic Central London food like overpriced soggy fish and chips or suspiciously bland Indian food. Instead, they went for “healthy” options at one of the gazillion Prêt cafés. For ⅓ of the price. Shame. 😞 #Photography

My main photographer can’t recall why he named that account “Beaver on the Go” (poor sweet old thing). When we walked into the Pimlico Sainsbury’s, he still couldn’t recall, but of course he didn’t miss the opportunity to photograph… a beaver… on the go.
Oh my. 🦫🛒

You know I'm not one to complain. That said, we were rather underwhelmed by the hospitality of the people of Surrey. At 4 Privet Drive, my photographers were only offered half-eaten plastic food. I'm sure Maids of Kent or Kentish Men would have been far more welcoming. #Photography #WBTourLondon

In this Porto apartment, some windows are barely as wide as my beaver’s tail. They seem to exist just to let a bit of #bright light and fresh air pass through, without inviting in too much humidity or heat. Or maybe they are just arrow slits... 🏹👀

The #bright light from some stars can reach our naked eye after thousands of years. Imagine the other way around: the light we emit will reach distant stars after thousands of years, long after we have turned to dust. In a way, this is a kind of immortality… #Photography #BlueskyArtShow

At London’s Paradox Museum, I had a #bright idea. My second photographer held me at one end of a kaleidoscope while another took the shot from the other side. And voilà… 100 beavers! Just imagine if life were a kaleidoscope… my predators would get their heads shaken. #Photography #BlueskyArtShow

A beaver has no name… but it knows winter is coming.

Bored at work? Bored at home? Bored on a Sunday?
Try guessing what Stella Dore (stelladorestore.com) wrote on this clinic wall.

Stop here to guess!

SPOILER ALERT

Here’s my guess: Light, Relief, Healthy.
It took me 30 minutes to figure that out! 😮‍💨

I met such a nice girl in London: fun, smart, and passionate. She wanted me to share her phone number with my followers: 01632 960999. So here I am.
I didn’t have the heart to tell her that humans can’t understand fictional folks. They think we’re not real. So sad. #Photography #StreetArt

Shoreditch is such an iconic neighborhood for #StreetArt. When I stumbled upon Lola’s, I immediately thought of my favorite street art photographer (@lolalippi.bsky.social). I walked in and asked if Lola was around... but it was like I spoke Spanish. Turns out, she’s never been there. 😞 #Photography

Ray-Ban makes such a statement on a Shoreditch wall: “Don’t be dumb!”
I asked them if they could put the same ad in front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C.
I predict their response will be: “Don’t be dumb…”

On Brick Lane, London, you can learn that Mr. Bean was the one who trimmed Dali’s moustache. I tried to imagine what I’d look like if Mr. Bean worked on my fur, inspired by his unique style. But then a little Ray-Ban voice told me: Don’t be dumb. Ok then. #Photography #StreetArt

In Shoreditch, I met a guy who thought I was American and asked where he could join an I.C.E. facility. While he’d likely make a great recruit, I advised him to reach out to some Eastern dictators. American dictators are a bit overrated. #Photography #London #StreetArt

This is a Shoreditch well-known building, a truly unique “American” carwash in London. When tourists ask on Reddit what makes it American, Redditors reply with things like:
“Staffed by overworked and underpaid immigrants (truly American)” or “Cars washed with AK-47s.” Ouch. 😬

In the southwest of France, when the golden, elongated shadows begin to stretch, I know it’s early evening. Darkness and ancient fears will soon emerge, and predators will come to hunt me in the night. For me, #evening always rhymes with warning. #BlueskyArtShow #Photography #Dordogne

I’m not a night owl. From early morning to early evening, I do photo modeling (as you may know). So when #evening comes, I relax. That said, you can count on me to party all night long, when free damp water and unlimited wooden twigs to nibble on are offered! #BlueskyArtShow #Photography #Porto

We tried to summon @a-lone-ghost.bsky.social to thank it for sending us a lovely Halloween card. We made a spelling mistake, because what we heard wasn’t a “Boo” or a “Woo”, but “Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?”
Oh, sorry Freddie, it’s just an illusion… woo woo, ah ah. 👀 #Photography

#Autumn is my favorite season to play hide and seek (for an obvious color-matching reason). When I try to tell my dear #Wednesday that black on black isn’t the best camouflage option, she replies that once the dark hours set in, she’ll blend into the night and jump-scare me... 😨 #BlueskyArtShow

There’s enough room for all my followers to celebrate #Autumn and #Halloween at Harry’s place. Delicious food awaits, carrot cakes and spicy pumpkin pies for all ! That said, I hope 99% of my followers are Bots, because I’m not sure Humans have the stomach for that much plastic food. #BlueskyArtShow

For those embracing #Halloween, I wish you a night filled with dread and endless frights. For those avoiding the dead, curled up in a corner of their most comforting room, holding on to their favorite plush, just know they’re coming for ya. Ain’t you heard that knock on your door? #Photography

This is the only place where my photographers aren’t taken for complete lunatics: a contemporary art museum. A beaver plush can be placed on the floor among rocks (!), fruits (!), garlic (!), and nobody finds it weird. Humans are strange sometimes. #Photography #TateModern

This empty pedestal by Do Ho Suh reminds us that the figures seen on pedestals are nothing without the masses who helped lift them there. The artist didn’t mention anything about beavers, though… So if humans are looking for a new king, I volunteer. My precious pedestal… #Photography #TateModern
