I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you’re under no obligation to justify yourself to anyone if you decide to spend the entire day reading books and eating cinnamon rolls.

If people use AI for their reviews they might at least consider not posting all the versions including the prompts? How lazy have people become???

Madeleine Wickham, a British author who splashed onto bestseller lists as Sophie Kinsella, the pen name she used for her “Shopaholic” series of rom-com books about an overspending fashionista, has died. She was 55.
Sophie Kinsella, bestselling author of ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic,’ dies at 55
Her books sold more than 50 million copies and made her a “chick-lit goddess.” Some were published under her given name, Madeleine Wickham.

I just heard the devastating news about the death of Madeleine Wickham / Sophie Kinsella from brain cancer at the age of 55. This is the perfect time to reread her last novella "What Does It Feel Like?" which is a short but five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ read. Here's my review: 💙📚

Watching "Batch from Scratch at Christmas" and hearing Joe Swash say with a straight face that about £500 is "a lot of money" when he probably spends that amount on a scented candle for Stacey is kind of taking me out of the narrative a bit!

If you're still looking for a heartwarming and atmospheric Christmas book, you could do worse with this beautifully written five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ novel by Milly Johnson.

This is your December reminder that it's absolutely acceptable to try and get to a set annual book goal by cramming in as many novellas and cookbooks as you can find before Christmas swallows you up! #booksky 💙📚

It's been a smashing series of #CelebrityTraitors but from the reaction of the people who lost I realised that it didn't really matter who won because they had no personal stakes and the money was always going to go to well-deserving charity, so it almost felt a bit anti-climactic.

I've just finished binging The Newsreader series 3 on the BBC iPlayer and I cheered. It ends on the fall of the Berlin Wall which is doubly emotional for me but I just love Helen and Dale - so flawed and so human. Best character is of course powerhouse Noellene. 😍
