People who fancy quoting the Melian Dialogue ("the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must") ignore the fact that Thucydides was clearly portraying this as the kind of hubris that squandered Athens' primacy and paved the way for a devastating peer war that it ultimately lost.

Yah barring a true issue between him and Lamar it's hard to see this make sense.

Like I get the frustration the last few years but hard to imagine them finding someone who is an improvement
WOW. This is wild.

On one hand, the team has basically lost in every meaningful game bc of execution errors, and that falls at his feet. On the other, he ain’t dropping the ball and missing kicks.

I will add—if the whispers about dissent btwn HC/QB are true, then they made the right choice.

This was clearly written by a man who had never left America, and never intends to.

Ok like going after Kelly is dumb and inappropriate but it turns out in this country the right to speak doesn't have to be earned, it's a fundamental right. Like literally the first one.
Mark Kelly: “How many generations of Donald Trump’s family served in the military - Zero - for me, service to my country is in my blood—

Donald Trump - he deferred the draft five times because he had bone spurs. Four generations of service earns me the right to speak. Five deferments earns nothing”

Lol yah that's how things work
A former staffer said that U.S. officials would not be performing a formal occupation like in Iraq. “We’re going to tell them: ‘Hey, this is what you have to do in order for there not to be another strike. That’s what [Trump] sees as running the country.” www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

New: We got an internal ICE document revealing its $100 million ad plan to bring in 14,000 new hires: deals with "tactical" influencers; ads to gun & military buffs; and geo-targeting phones around NASCAR races and gun shows.

you don’t have a grudge against agent 47 , you can’t have a grudge against a ghost that puts poisoned epsom salts in your bathtub after learning that those types of baths are a memento of your long lost idyllic childhood. you have a grudge against a guy that beats you up in a bar fight over nothing

I used to have nightmares that I was in a firefight and my rifle wouldn't fire.

Last night I had a nightmare that I had double booked two work calls at the same time.

Progress I guess?

Stopped in a small town PA diner for lunch on my road trip today and my Veal Parm sandwich was $3.95.

JD Vance: "I remember watching every video of the assassination looking for clues, trying to understand what happened. I tried to hide my friend and that terrible bullet hitting him, but I would try to look around. I stayed up all night for many nights in a row researching every conspiracy theory."
