I've been meaning to reread NOSTROMO, but I don't think I can handle two failed democracies at once.

The world's a crazy mess right now. Overwhelming. Music gets me through all of it. If I share something that one other person enjoys, I'm happy. Little Walter has the right message

My health insurance company Cigna was bought out by Healthspring.
Now none of my doctors are covered and I can't refill prescriptions.
I hate this place.

We really did use this chart in psychology, only the "fuck around" axis was labeled "novelty seeking" and the "find out" axis was labeled "manageability."
This version took more explaining.

The pResident is a terrorist trying to prevent us from looking at his backers by withholding the Epstein files. RICO, anyone?

I just don't like how time consuming computer writing programs are. I've got a whole cast of characters in my head, profiled. I don't need their whole background, just the socio-political & personal history that created them.
Is that old fashioned?

In the late sixties movie studio bigwigs were so culturally separated from the masses that they couldn't understand them and the studio system died.

Now, take a look at our political system.

Im seeing discussions about consultations with congress, authorizations of force etc. I have to say this transcends any of what I would call sub constitutional technicalities. The president has gone to war with a foreign power and, it seems, kidnapped a foreign head of state on the basis of nothing.

Signed on BlueSky and my comments went immediately to naming a kid wrong, one ex leaving because I was disabled, and another changing the locks on the door.

Song writing-wise, that's A Boy Named Sue, I Just Can't Make It, and Move it on Over.

I'm going to write some songs this year, too.
