Check out our new preprint on ion diffusion and (photo)redox conductivity in a COF by @bbrath.bsky.social and Bettina!
doi.org/10.26434/che...
We report the first observation of reversible switching from an insulating to semiconducting regime in COF triggered by both electrical potential and light.
Ion Diffusion and (Photo)redox Conductivity in a Covalent Organic Framework
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have emerged as promising materials for energy-related applications, where precise control over charge and mass transport is critical, such as in electrocatalysis an...

Finally for MOFs! Congratulations to the laureates(Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, Omar M. Yaghi).
(always knew these three should get the prize together) 🎊

A picture from Ammersee, Munich 2024. (would have been the best to have a picture with all of them together)

I had the opportunity to attend #EuroMOF2025 in Crete 🇬🇷 with @lotschgroup.bsky.social @mpifkf.bsky.social and deliver a talk on our works on optoionic charge storage and redox hopping in COFs. Thanks to the organisers for putting together a great event with fascinating talks/posters.

Isoreticular moiré metal-organic frameworks with quasiperiodicity - Nature Communications
Twisted bilayer metal-organic frameworks produce dodecagonal quasiperiodic moiré patterns with tunable length scales. Here the authors show that isoreticular ligand design enables control over aperiod...
