Former FT hack of all trades, now divides life between inner south London and coastal south Devon. Gay. Non-tribal left. Open to media projects but also to drinks, discourse, dinner.
Alles goed. No matter even if Wilders found his purportedly missing box of votes. King Willem's informateur, a yet to be appointed worthy who steers the process, will know that Dutch coalitioneering by convention favours a party on the up, not the depleted incumbents. It's premier Jetten's to take.

Peak Wilders is in the past. Hello @robjetten.bsky.social, set to return the Dutch to a softish centrism. Post-election haggling should make him the first PM from the socially inclined D66 - and NL's first out gay head of govt. Better Jetten than, a quarter century ago, slain rightist Pim Fortuyn.
Dutch centrist liberals under Jetten head for shock election win, exit poll says
Rob Jetten's D66 party celebrates, two years after his party languished in fifth place in the last vote.

In a bit of good news, the Netherlands has just banned conversion therapy that targets gay and transgender children and adults.

We've got to come up with a better way to monetize news than locking everything behind glass like a CVS.

Come up with a joint subscription service—pay $x.xx a month for xx tokens, redeem tokens for articles across your favorite websites.

Maintaining 300 different subscriptions isn't sustainable.

Ominous for south Devon, Plymouth and all of Cornwall. Resilience work on the only rail route serving close to a million people will be for naught if the remaining - costliest - bit is dropped.

"It's either us or Reform" the Labour canvasser says, as the Labour Government launches a new campaign to crack down on immigrants, strips more rights for LGBTQ+ people, pulls back from climate funding, halves its international aid, abandons disabled people...
Told Labour canvasser the other day I was going to vote Green again and he said he understood you have to vote with your heart "but it's either us or Reform". Tried to ask if he had any positive reasons to vote Labour but he was already walking away.
