The IDF is claiming al-Jazeera journalist Hussam Shabat was a Hamas fighter, based on documentation that he underwent military training in 2019.
There are also accusations that he participated recently in fighting, without details so far.

37 years ago today, Iraqi regime warplanes bombed the #Kurdistan Region's town of #Halabja with chemical weapons, killing more than 5000 civilians, and wounding 10,000. Many of the survivors are still largely impacted by the chemical attack.

Why does it have to be “the West” to decide which nation can have a state?
#Kurdish people have struggled for a very long time and have sacrificed hundreds of thousands for this cause. The West never supported Kurdish people’s quest for #independence.
