If your status is doubtful then there is always the option to convert in order to remove doubt. Until that need arises, if you identify as a #Jew then who am I to argue with that? If your (Jewish) community accepts you, who am I to reject you?

I personally believe in the halachaic definition of a Jew that you are Jewish if your mother is Jewish or you convert in accordance to traditional requirements. Full stop (cont’d)

A very serious point of contention in the Jewish world is ‘Who is a Jew?’. We Jews live the exclusivity of our people but it also causes bigotry to those on the margins (cont’d)

Over the years I have stepped back from #socialmedia because people are way too comfortable being mean online. But some of the meanest behavior I’ve seen has been from other Jewish women - Orthodox ones at that. It’s heartbreaking 💔 really 😓
