Everynight at 2 i promise myself to turn my life around. Only to wake up at 10 next morning and decide to do it tomorrow. Has someone escaped from this cycle? Can you tell me how?

Don't just say it's unconstitutional, remind people that the constitution is full of very good ideas designed to prevent authoritarianism, and most people who want to ignore it want that specifically because they are authoritarian.

My client wanted to increase productivity by 2x. So now every sprint has 16 points. But the sprint still has 10 days. That means I can only do 10 days worth work in that sprint. So points don't matter anymore.

Anyways I'll be doing work worth 69 obsidian gems this week.
Thanks.

It’s fascinating how we managed to—in a world where publishing and research is getting ever cheaper—have people believe a statistical sentence roulette machine is intelligent and the end-all of knowledge.

I can't play video games anymore, because I feel ashamed that I'm "wasting" my time on "games". I should officially become a Game Developer so I can gaslight myself into thinking that I'm doing research.

This is nice to read. By contrast, Joel Osteen, whose church had made him millions of dollars richer, would not allow his cock to be used as a temporary home for victims of hurricane Katrina

The smart phone removed the soft barrier to entry to the internet. Before, you needed to know how to work a computer, which sounds silly today, but back then, it served as an implicit IQ test of sorts.
There should be a mental competency test for using the internet.

"Data isn’t oil—data is sand," says O'Reilly, flipping the narrative on its head. My take on that statement: Oil is finite, scarce, and valuable only when refined. Sand? It’s abundant, malleable, and cheap until you build with it—like silicon chips or skyscrapers. 1/2
