Bat care can be hard but it can be brilliant too.
Beautiful ♂️ noctule bat came in two days ago, found with torn wing membrane. Fed himself from a dish on night 1, gaining weight and has started healing process already (new white skin along edge). Go on bro, make my job easy 😊#lovebats #batcare

πŸ¦‡ Bats are long-lived mammals which reproduce slowly: each female can only produce one baby per year and not all females will have babies each year. For this reason their populations are very slow to grow or recover their numbers.

πŸ¦‡ Bats are still hibernating. They have little fat left to live off of now. They may leave the roost on warmer nights to find food and a drink of water.
