I’m looking for people who play #sudoku on their phones. I got frustrated with the apps available so I’m making my own, but I want to hear how other people play.
Message me here if you’d be willing to have an informal chat about Sudoku :)

There’s a problem with the way #bluesky does #feeds. To me, the algorithm that generates topical content is part of the base service, not an extra. I agree that it should be open/customizable, but I think feeds should be redesigned such that running one doesn’t require a user to manage a server.

The purpose of IaC depends on the use case, but I claim that the primary capability of IaC is the generation of multiple distinct configurations, variants, from the same IaC source code.

Wow. I used Terraform for so many years, but was not aware of "terraform console". Could have saved me so much grief. 🤦🏻♂️

AWS and Azure, with CloudFormation and Bicep, are clearly trying to compete with Terraform. Why didn’t they make them bidirectional? That would provide them the vendor lockin they clearly seek.
The paradigm of IaC being unidirectional and drift being bad but unavoidable is so entrenched!

Infrastructure as Code is unidirectional and has an asymmetric experience where changes (writes) and observations (reads) are performed through different tools. What are some consequences of that? Is it really necessary?

@techwatching.bsky.social any chance you could add a filter to differentiate terraform the infrastructure as code product from the one that’s all over the news and the feed?

The CNCF describes the pronunciation of kubernetes “Koo-burr-NET-eez” however Greek people tell me that κυβερνήτης is an actual word they actually use for things other than containers, and it’s actually pronounced “kyvernítis”.
I don’t know what to do with this

TIL `curl` has built-in support to generate AWS SigV4 headers so you can do AWS API calls with a single command 😮

@bsky.app I signed up a couple of days ago on the browser on my phone, but can’t log into the iOS app. I’m absolutely positive I’m using the same credentials, and I can still log into my account through a browser on my phone.
