If (all fingers and toes crossed) we get heavy rail on Sepulveda I will bottle and sell SOHA tears. Taking preorders now
Bob Anderson of Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association discusses letters to LA Metro CEO on Sepulveda. He says Metro lied so he gave them 7 days to answer again. He says his friend offered to pay for a taster because “we’re afraid we might be poisoned.”

I shouldn’t get excited about class 2 bike lanes but you gotta love it when your public works department installs these beauties just cause they’re in the city’s bike plan and you don’t have to fight anyone about it

Metro is once again juicing the numbers to support Metro Micro, which they give top marks for cost effectiveness and scalability. Really? “Public Uber but with worse service” is scalable? But e-bike subsidies only get 2/3 on those factors?
January 2024 LA Metro update on VMT Mitigation Bank. Projects increasing vehicle miles travelled (VMT) must buy VMT credits, bank funds VMT-decreasing projects. Highest-ranked actions: increase transit service, affordable housing and bus lanes. Program adoption planned for Spring 2024.

Just missed my train, so I went to the French cafe for an espresso and chatted with a guy about his cool bike, he was stopping for a mid ride beer and newspaper, then I made my next train just in time. Streetcar suburbs rule

Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett zu einem ungeheuren Kandidat für den Vorsitz des Repräsentantenhaus verwandelt.
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a Republican party no longer in possession of a its senses or values, must be in want of a speaker.
To lose one Speaker may regarded as a misfortune. To lose four looks like carelessness.

If you’re tired of the never ending slog that is mobility advocacy, I highly recommend doing a bike valet at a local event. Good people, good conversation, good bikes (all bikes are good). Beer helps.

Is it a coincidence that I saw an H Mart receipt a block away from the shuttered Jvons in South Pas or are my stars finally aligning

Just donated to Friends of Move CC. This bikelash has had a ripple throughout SoCal- I’ve heard directly from South Pas council members that it’s impacting their decisions. We need to show them that the community and the law are on our side! www.gofundme.com/f/savemove

This was supposed to be a South Pas bike rack sexiness power ranking post, but then this poor Surly never got its dork disc removed. Let this be a PSA for the rest of you!

It took South Pas three years, countless hours of planning and community engagement, and a unanimous vote from city council to get a six month pilot project in the ground. It took a week of whining from a dozen people to slash it to three months. #bikelash
