Last night arounds 7pm we moved our political signs from our yard to the nearby the polling place.

This morning around 8pm, I saw one of theses signs sandwiched by the opponent's signs.

The other side needs to run grown-ups.

Couldn't have said it better...
This perfectly encapsulates what the GOP position is on the shutdown.

Oh, good grief! I do not want to live under a government that was elected by AI. Is there no way to escape AI's influence?

Don’t let AI chatbots tell you how to vote, Dutch authorities warn voters
Far-right PVV and GreenLeft-Labor were overrepresented as suggested picks, in a test of how four chatbots gave voter advice.

Trump is the butt of the world's jokes.
PM of Albania having a good laugh with President of Azerbaijan and Macron about Trump repeatedly claiming that he ended the war between their two countries which were not at war with each other.

💯
“Health care for illegal aliens” is the new “immigrants are eating cats and dogs in Springfield.”

The Republican playbook is simple: make up a baseless lie, repeat it every chance you get, hope and pray that everyone blames Democrats for the crises you created.

I miss George Carlin.
George Carlin was quite brilliant. That’s why I used him for a part in The Prince Of Tides. Incredible comedian who also was quite serious as you can see here.
What would George say 🤔 #whatamIdoinginNewJersey #georgecarlin #standupcomedy

This may explain why there’s an aggressive response to people who merely post Kirk’s own words. It threatens the existence of the alternate Kirk - the motivational speaker that had been marketed to young kids and white Christian groups through selective quotation & clips.

"We've taken care of everything
The words you read and the songs you sing
The pictures that give pleasure to your eyes..."

"We are the priests
Of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers
Fill the hallowed halls..."

Wow, Neil Peart nailed it! Wish I'd known it was going to happen 87 years sooner!

When The U.S. Government Tried To Replace Migrant Farmworkers With High Schoolers
In 1964, a program that brought migrant Mexican laborers to the U.S. ended. So the U.S. recruited American students to pick crops instead. When they saw their living conditions, strikes ensued.

I found this article a nice summary of a lot of difficult history - doesn't include everything (most significantly the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, the first race-based immigration law signed into law) but there's a lot to it.
