Crazy having a conversation that includes these paraphrases:

"Companies are firing people over AI and no one is hiring"
"It's not a sustainable model"
"I'm in the business of selling AI"

From the same person

When will base #RStats be brave enough to allow empty arguments at the end of `c()` and `list()`?

Alright #RStats, I've a little more excited about this one:

{cnd} is now on CRAN

{cnd} puts a lot more infrastructure around conditions and encourages the use of custom classes and automatic documentation for your users.

Why do I feel like boolean values in databases don't get enough love?

Coding `is_{whatever}` as `0` and `1` doesn't feel right.

If I ask "Is it raining today?" how can you possibly tell me "one"?

When I break a new thing in #RStats I feel like I've accomplished something

Date times can be rough when programming

@posit.co I know it's at _basically_ at the deadline but I'm sick but I'm pretty sure midnight (Eastern) didn't hit before the form closed. Unless it was midnight last night. Or some other midnight

Sometimes when building a minimal reprex for a bug, you discover that you were the bug all along. I assume this is what Kafka was on about.
