At Bansa Community Library, learning often begins in the simplest of ways, three friends sitting close, eyes bright with curiosity, exploring the world of science on a shared screen. In moments like these, library becomes more than just a space filled with books, it becomes a window to new worlds.

As winter begins to set in, stories bring their own warmth. A young reader leads a read-aloud session at our library courtyard, her voice carrying tales that spark curiosity and comfort alike. Not long ago, books like these were out of reach for most children here in Bansa.

Welcome to the Book Hospital!

Every few weeks, something quietly magical unfolds on the floor of our library, not through new books arriving, but through old ones being cared for. Librarians and young members sit together, tape and glue in hand, gently mending torn pages and healing broken spines.

At our rural free library, technology bridges distance and brings learning to life. In this session, a teacher from another city joined our young readers virtually to guide them through an engaging art activity, sparking creativity, curiosity, and confidence among children right here in Bansa. 1/2

If you look at this picture closely, you’ll see more than just a child writing on a board. In our Bansa Library campus, learning flows freely. Today, a young member stood on a chair to reach the board, wrote the Word of the Day, and began explaining it to her friends, contd. 👇

Our librarian Prachi sits with young readers, guiding them as they write book reports, a beautiful exercise where every child reflects on what they’ve read, understood, and felt after finishing a book. It’s not just about reading, but about learning to think, express their own voice through stories.

At Bansa Library, books brought us together, but it’s the small joys that keep us close. Our Amul protein lassi party was full of chatter, laughter, and togetherness. For us, the library isn’t just a place to read, it’s a place where everyone belongs.

A library is never just about books. For many children, it’s the joy of play that first brings them through our doors. The colorful games, the fun activities, the shared laughter, these become their entry point.

Today, one of our youngest members picked up a book and read aloud to everyone, simply because she had seen the older members do it before. This is what makes community libraries magical: they are living spaces where children observe, absorb, and pass on inspiration to each other.

At Bansa Library, we believe in preparing our members for the future of learning!

We recently hosted an AI Workshop on Perplexity helping our members explore how Artificial Intelligence can become their study companion, research assistant, and knowledge partner.

At Bansa Library, book clubs aren’t just about reading, they’re about thinking, questioning, and growing together. From teens to little ones, our members are leading vibrant discussions, diving into books that reflect their worlds, and building a community of readers who listen, share, and inspire.

Every week at Bansa Library, our youngest student leaders take charge of something truly special setting the tone and spirit of the space through a weekly theme. And this week, they chose the most beautiful one of all: Friendship

The reading room at Bansa Library is alive with quiet focus and curiosity. Each member is in their own element, one is deep into a novel, another is making notes from a reference book, someone else is exploring educational content on a digital device, and another is simply browsing the shelves.
