The cancer at the root of our society is that capitalists learned how to turn the government into a resource to exploit, and you aren't in on it.

Police have hundreds of reasons to stop drivers — reasons that are too often abused to target people of color and undermine Fourth Amendment freedoms.

Traffic stops unrelated to road safety, for violations like tinted windows or an expired registration, are unnecessary and only breed police abuse.
Why Police Traffic Stops Are Dangerous and Ineffective | ACLU
Millions of drivers are pulled over every year for minor violations like broken taillights or tinted windows. Data shows these stops rarely make roads safer, and instead lead to racial disparities, violence, and loss of trust in police.

One significant difference between 2020 and now is that Susan Collins is basically no longer hiding that she's anti-abortion.

The only open question is whether Maine and beltway outlets will continue to tiptoe around this development. #MEpolitics

- We can turn a donated dollar into more meals
- Donations build healthier communities
- We use funds to combat food waste
- Not all food banks have the capacity for large food donations

We have warned in the past that the housing crunch is going to get worse. That isn't a prediction anymore.

It will still get worse than this. The idea of hundreds of unhoused people in Bangor sounds unfathomable but we will see it soon.
