Today I learned that the breast cancer I had did not spread. Almost 5 years to the day, test showed no biomarkers linked to that cancer. I am vindicated from looking to other countries for best practices. 1st oncologist ditched me when I went with European model for treatment. I have thrived.

Wish the incumbents would believe this true statement. I am not well off but used to eek out a few modest donations to Democrats each year. Now, I am definitely done as my economic situation barely holds.

Maybe we start providing camouflage clothing, balaclavas, (costume) badges, vests & firearms to everyone in Minneapolis & call it cosplay. Because that's what these armed thugs who Trump calls Law Enforcement are doing with deadly results.

I wish to remind all those corrupt billionaires & politicians who support Trump's dictatorship, eventually the dictator always turns on those first supporters. He becomes jealous of what they have, or decides they are too powerful themselves, or he merely needs to destroy them as a message to all.

Heading into 2026, hoping for improvement over 2025 in every aspect but assuming things will get worse. That's what old age & our current state of affairs means to me. At 73, never been this pessimistic about the future.That said, continuing my tradition of champagne & caviar to see in the New Year.

I am exhausted from the Epstein files drama. I remain disgusted & almost unwilling to comprehend this level of depravity. But I don't want to read more papers or listen to more pundits. I want indictments, arrests, trials, & convictions. Anything else is useless noise. We have enough of that.

My husband, who is liberal politically, was recently diagnosed with altzheimers. He's become obsessed with grievances towards anyone who he percieves as making a mistake. He also won't change his mind on anything. Wonder if a study would confirm increased rates of altzheimers in MAGA voters.

Tell me I haven't been following politics for too long. 1st time I got ill with flu-like symptoms after getting my flu shot. First thought: "damn that RFK,Jr.". Conspiracy theory hit my brain "something was changed to discourage my future vaccinations." Rejected theory once I was rational again.

I watch much less cable news than I did in previous years, but I have recently noticed that CNN is featuring more & more Republicans on their panels, perhaps due to pressure from Trump. However, it seems almost subversive as these panelists are uniformly really stupid in their arguments.

As happy as I am for the large gain in votes for our Democratic candidate in TN, I have to think that the gerrymandering has succeeded so well the Democrats won't ever regain any of those 3 seats that were lost by merging MAGA suburbs with Nashville. Not seeing the swing as hopeful.

Saw a magazine article in which the Ford CEO continues to whine he can't fill high-wage mechanic jobs. Says it takes 5 years to learn how to swap an engine. Ignores that instead of forcing people into community colleges on their own dime, Ford did all training for those jobs years ago on their dime.

So, do we all agree Speaker Johnson will swear in the new Democratic Rep from NM and adjourn 1 second after the budget bill so the Epstein files vote can't happen. Return will be after Dec 2nd when he hopes to keep a Republican seat in Tennessee, preventing the Epstein files vote from passing.

I don't know what the Senate is going to do. But if they do in fact fold in exchange for nothing, they will be living up to past performance. To expect the Senate to carry out the will of the American people is to misunderstand why it was created in the first place.

So, Trump's reign is filled with "no one even thought about doing this outrageous thing before" actions. Now Speaker Johnson brings that to the House. No Speaker ever delayed swearing in a duly elected Congresswoman. Cannot think of a Speaker who shuts down the House for months. What's next?

24 hours to digest Mamdani's win. When Trump calls him a Communist I can't help but look how allied with Russia, still proudly Communist, the President remains. Add his ties to China & it seems to me Trump has more leaning Communist traits than the new Mayor of NYC.

Not commenting on the reason Andrew Windsor lost his title. But you either buy into "Royal by virtue of birth" or you don't. In every monarchy, a King's son is a Prince by birth. So, if a Royal Prince can be stripped of his Princehood, doesn't that negate the whole premise of royal by birth?
