This is because Intuit, Inc. gave Donald Trump $1,000,000 for his "inauguration." Intuit owns Turbo Tax, which makes money off charging taxpayers to file their returns.

The corruption is rampant and in plain sight.

I think this every time I see someone using "then" for "than" or "than" for "then". Why yes, I am petty and pedantic, why do you ask?

I had a really rough time with Ch. 6 of my WiP (a MONTH) but now I've finished Ch. 8 only 2 days behind schedule. (Ch. 7 will be done later.) On to Ch. 9! Full-moon! Howls! An attack! Just a town with a vampire infestation that develops a new problem...

Sounds like a win-win to me.
So the one to 25,000 bad apples in the NYPD are "self-deporting?" What a great way to weed out the most prejudiced assholes. Congratulations, New York City!

Gee, it's almost like if you have federal employees acting like criminals who won't identify themselves before (illegally) assaulting and kidnapping people, you're going to inspire copycats who also (illegally) assault and kidnap people. I mean, who can tell them apart?
This really hasn’t gotten enough attention this week.

Who's going to tell the kids?

(Related rant: Why aren't the kids familiar with THE PRINCESS BRIDE? It's a classic!)

It's kind of frustrating that MAGA folks in Kentucky will show up to vote when there ISN'T an election and they CAN'T vote against a candidate for mayor of NYC or gov of VA but we can't get Dems and Independents off their asses to vote AGAINST the orange fascist now squatting in the White House.

It got drowned out in all the good news from last night, but Boston Mayor Michelle Wu became the youngest person to be reelected in the city's history.

She ran unopposed because her opponent--Patriots owner Bob Kraft's son--withdrew a few months ago after realizing he had no hope of winning.

Oh, you simple-minded, wheezing gargoyle . . . you were very much on the ballot. You are blamed for the shutdown. You are blamed from SNAP shutting down. You are blamed for a bad economy. And numerous people interviewed last night mentioned that seeing the East Wing destroyed motivated them to vote.
