My grandson is in the Army infantry. 82nd. He is excited about it. Like all young warriors, they think they're invincible. I watched my grandfather, uncles, dad (adopted) and son all suffer from war. 1 of 2.

My insecurities never flare up this bad until I am with my husband's family, it used to be just my family. The damn side eyes and negating actions behind my back every time I speak makes me 2nd guess every word I say or their compliments.

I ask myself why I just didn't end it. I've spent several years asking myself that. I couldn't think of why I just kept on. Tonight, I was having a conversation with my granddaughter, she said, I've never had such an inspiring talk like this. I will remember this forever Grammy. ME: Oh. That's why.

I struggle with ppl who don't understand why I will not deal with 2faced family, friends, or associates. But until you have experienced the petty behavior, brutally, first hand, the kind that ruins your mental health for the rest of your life, they will always think you like the hater's opinions.

I've been struggling with allergies for about 5 years now. Yesterday and today are the worst. I am so miserable but I can't flop and whine. My kid is getting gallbladder surgery today and that means I have her boys overnight. I just want to sleep this off.

My grandsons, all of them my joy, hope, and biggest fear. I send smoke in hopes they become men of people and not men of idols, religious hypocrisy, or rigid convictions.
I tell them constantly, that the day you think you know everything is the day you know nothing.
