Hazy start this morning has been followed by a hazy day. Happy hump day BlueSky.

The farmer has installed a fence, single strand with insulators so I assume electric? I'm not sure if it's to keep me out or the brassicas in. Hope your day is more promising than mine BlueSky.

back to work after two weeks away from it all. My laptop was very unhappy about being switched back on this morning. Lovely to see that absolutely nothing has improved with the world after two weeks of me ignoring it. I hope you have a great week BlueSky.

My mom and stepdad are from the same diaspora group as Zohran Mamdani’s dad (same like “my stepdad was kicked out of the same town and knows some of his classmates”) and apparently the New York Times doesn’t understand how diaspora works, so I am going to tell you a little about my mom’s people!

Two Roman cavalry swords, a settlement and a villa. Don't think it'll catch on as a film title ;)

Happy Friday everyone. TIL that on the other side of the river they bail the silage rather than trailer it away.

#OnThisDay 1899 Cambrian Railways goods guard Thomas Thomas was injured at #Abermule, #Wales.

He fell off a wagon, whilst riding on its brake. He was off work for 3 days - but it could so easily have been a lot more serious.

The Tay. I think about 1.2km wide here, the narrowest point and where the tide is fastest. You can hear a bull roaring in the fields in Fife and deer swim the river here.

Cool and still start to the day here in the Cree valley. I expect it will be just as warm and sunny later as it was yesterday. Have a good one BlueSky, nearly there.

It was 7 years ago today that we lost Peter Firmin; (Oliver Postgate had died 10 years before).
This is to remember them both

Rain in the distance today, no doubt we'll get our share. Nice and cool but I've still got the doors open. Happy hump day BlueSky.

Support for Israel's actions is not normal. Feeling compassion for the plight of Palestinians is. No amount of wailing and gnashing from the UK press will change that.

This post sums up my thoughts.
Words seem to get more media coverage and criticism from the Labour Government than the atrocities happening on a daily basis in the Middle East.

In the end they will try to lock up every brown person in the country, whether they are a citizen or not. He will sign an executive order declaring himself president for life and the Supreme Court will uphold it 6-3. They will leave you no choice. They think so little of you.

It's pleasantly warm here with no direct sunshine. I've a busy week before the holidays begin in earnest. Taking time off just isn't something my employer seems geared up for in my case. I fully predict something will go horribly wrong as soon as I'm away from my laptop.

This should be obvious. Imagine the fuss if Sinn Féin ran candidates in London and Liverpool, called themselves English Sinn Féin even though they were funded in NI and wouldn't shut up about how crap England was.
