Dire Facts #1: The rulers of Mhach envisioned that the floating "Void Ark" would carry entire families until the waters of the Calamity receded. Their livelihoods: livestock, seeds, supplies etc... Sadly they all were eaten by voidsent in the close-quarters ship.
