Legitimate shocked that the county (Morris, NJ) I grew up in shifted hard blue for the governor’s race. I grew up with a lot of overly privileged and vapid bigots, so this is a kind of nice surprise.

I’ve used a lot of Britishisms in my normal speech (born and raised in the USA, just a pretentious weirdo), but don’t think I’ve stopped as I’ve aged. In fact, I’ve been making it a point to refer to athletic competition in the singular collective form, e.g., “I’m not one for sport.” I’m not sorry.
