Promoted by M. Bateman on behalf of Laura Kyrke-Smith and Aylesbury Labour Party, at 42 Parton Road, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, HP20 1NG.
Happy PRIDE month to all those in Aylesbury who are a part of, or who are good allies to, our LGBT communities.

Our very own exec committee features members of the community in prominent, active and effective positions.
So when we say we stand strongly, that comes from the top of our local party.

This LBGT+ History Month, we celebrate a key chapter in UK history! In 2013, the overdue right to marriage equality was passed w/ overwhelming Labour support!

There's more work to do, but we stand proudly with our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans family, friends, and neighbours across the UK.

Rooftop solar panels will play an essential role in achieving our net-zero targets, and I'm glad that so many members of the House were in attendance to debate such an important topic. I will follow this topic closely, offering my support to increase our ability to generate renewable energy!

Congratulations to @maxwilkinson.bsky.social on leading the debate on his Sunshine Bill today. I didn't get the opportunity to speak in the discussion, but I was delighted that the government has agreed to work with Max on delivering many of the bill's principles.

We will be out and about talking about POTHOLES this weekend!

The Labour Party is providing £1.6billion to local councils to fix potholes - almost 50% MORE than the Tories promised!

If you see us, come and chat - we need to hold our local council to account to get these fixed, and save you money 🌹

Have your say on the NHS in Aylesbury and the villages!

@laurakyrkesmith.bsky.social is running an in-person NHS Consultation surgery, but places are limited. See the details here: www.bucksherald.co.uk/news/opinion...
Laura Kyrke-Smith MP: I want to hear from NHS patients in Aylesbury and the villages
Winter is the busiest time for the NHS and this year is no exception. The flu season hit earlier than usual and pressures are significant. I pay tribute to all the staff who are working day in day out...

Typical of the Conservatives, refusing to back our plans to protect renters!
The Tories just tried to block reform of private renting.

This Labour government will ensure renters get the security, rights and protections they deserve.

Thanks to Bucks Fire & Rescue for welcoming me to the station!

The teams do a wonderful job of keeping the community safe. I really like their emphasis on risk assessment & prevention as much as response.

We’re lucky to have an Urban Search and Rescue team based here too, with a national remit.

Following my discussion with business owners & Aylesbury Town Council last month, I raised with the Leader of the House the need to tackle anti-social behaviour & promote respectful behaviour in our town.

I was pleased to hear her confirm this will be covered in the upcoming Crime & Policing Bill.

I was proud to vote for the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill in Parliament today.

The political games by the Conservatives & Reform are a distraction; disrespectful and dangerous.

I spoke about the Bill's important measures to protect children & support children living in poverty.

Reform only want to demonise migrants. They do not care about violence against women and girls.
Not a single Reform MP has bothered to turn up to today's House of Commons debate on tackling violence against women and girls

Together, we must break the silence, challenge abuse, and work toward a future free from fear and violence.

Just in from mammoth interview session to two bits of news. One that a DV perp got locked up because of something I did and that a vulnerable constituent had a a massive wrongful debt written off after our intervention. This is why I came to politics, this is why I'll just keep cracking on.
