I think its genuinely a virtue to accept that you could be wrong about anything and kill the part of yourself that needs to always be seen as correct and smarter than others on any given topic
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

If a human told you things that were correct 80% of the time but claimed, flat out, with absolute confidence, that they were correct 100% of the time, you would dislike them & never trust a word they say. All I'm really suggesting is for people to treat chatbots with that same distrust & antagonism.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning
Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

As NB.1.8.1 spreads, there’s only one thing spreading faster: misinformation. Here, I run down 5 of the most common errors I see circulating about COVID and encourage people to integrate airborne disease mitigation into their lives holistically.

Science does not work like this. The only way you can set a timeline is if you have rigged the results in advance.

Seen a few folks astonished by my lack of support for ChatGPT and similar. Because AI, right?

Yeah, no. What we have right now is glorified autocorrect. Glorified autocorrect that takes the energy of an entire city to do what it does, plus half of Lake Erie to cool down while it's doing it.

The answer is simple. When you know better - you do better.

We know Covid is a serious multi system virus that’s causing long term harm. We know a good respirator prevents catching or spreading it.

We need to adapt - and it’s not too late. /end

I don't post (so I haven't tried it out), but this might be something to try out of anyone is crossing both platforms.

POSTYBIRB
If they are worried about their post not hitting as many people POSTYBIRB makes it easy to post to multiple platforms.

It makes it a lot less exhausting, and the nice part is bsky has their own app password system you can use with it.

Highly recommended as someone whose used off and on for years.
