This scenario shows a subjective promise everyone encounters, but when a Local Election Authority refuses to state for the record:

I am a #Bluesky Weekender. This is my 2nd weekend wandering among members of #bsky. In no particular order, first, thanks to all who have chosen to follow! Next, thanks to all of the content providers I have come across so far! Lastly, an extra shout-out to all #journalists heading into 2025.

In Illinois, election laws form two entities inside of all government units that have elected, not appointed, officials: the Local Election Authority & the Local Election Official. Not one hotline is available to report clear election interference by a LEO, or in one case, both the LEO & the LEA.

While I won't be on my #bluesky account much (gotta stay retired), after encountering more than 10 days of literal election interference by multiple people against multiple people at a #LocalLibrary district, sometimes my right to remain silent is nothing compared to my obligation to speak out.
