What gets me more than anything else when I see people turning to Reform for comfort and answers is that this is the same bunch of snake-oil muppets who told you that Brexit would solve all your problems and instead gave you more grief. Are you really just going to happily be conned again?

It is interesting that in both Canada and Norway the progressive parties made big gains among ordinary people and despite populist attacks, by bringing into government individuals with proven public ability in other spheres of influence.
The UK Labour government needs to learn from this.

At the risk of sounding like a government spokesperson, I wonder if we're too gloomy. NHS waiting times are falling, as are net migration numbers. Growth hasn't been fast, but it's improved. Real wages are growing. Inflation is a bit sticky, but much reduced.

Right wing media has had it in for Angela Rayner from the start - they couldn’t bear a working class woman being so powerful & dynamic. She made a mistake and has paid heavily for it. Very much hope she’ll return at some point in the future - our politics desperately needs more voices like hers

Immigration has already dropped by half under Starmer. Check it out. The media aren't telling people that. They're obsessed with people coming on boats. Starmer is tackling that problem at every point in the chain. This approach will of course be successful, but it takes time.
