Officially deleted twitter yesterday. Thanks to musk's influence it's now about as bipartisan as truth social, and I wouldn't be caught dead there either so I guess I'm in uncharted territory now.

Just made the decision to quiet quit twitter. There was a time I thought I could still make a positive difference by exposing stupidity through relentlessly insulting right wing narcissism, but there's barely anyone with intelligence enough to appreciate it left there now. My work is done.

The more I learn about finance the more I see that capitalism was not designed to be a fair, equitable system for human society. It was designed to spread the influence of the dollar like wildfire across the globe as quickly as possible by way of manufacturing desperation through greed.

Finally got to stump someone with my rope shenanigans today. Ninja had a paw injury and had to get neutered and vaxxed etc. Tied my cat box closed with a rolling hitch, which is a pretty easy sliding loop. Collected him today and saw they retied it with a weak slipped overhand loop. Amateurs.

NZ has always thought itself to be a strong country, but it has a major achilles heel: The ability to be wrong gracefully despite strong emotions. Our culture naturally mollycoddles people who are factually wrong in order to spare their emotions. This leads to a vindictive attitude towards fact.

Fate once again tempts me to adopt a cat (I have 2 already). There was a calico curled up in my engine this morning, good thing I disconnect my battery at night. This thing has been sneaking into my shed and obvs needs help, but this is the first good look I've had. It's a ghost.

I'm one of those people who only maintains a twitter to go raiding. Today I raided a "truth" social post and bagged no less than 3 crackpots. I'd say it's a good effort towards eradicating, or at least heavily discouraging, stupidity. #twitter #twitterraids #truthsocial #crackpots #covidiots

I think "stale" is what we should label people who like to use "woke" scornfully as. Their miserly, punitive hatred takes all the flavor out of life, they are inflexible and unpleasant, and they have been left out to absorb perfectly good oxygen for far too long.
“Woke” is often used by conservatives to conjure visions of a golden era that never existed.
One where hard work yields you riches, and if you’re accustomed to privilege, equity feels like oppression.
It was never true - and it bears repeating that this language is the last gasp of a dying system.

It got to the point where I could cycle for 30 minutes straight but I couldn't climb a flight of stairs without getting breathless. I can stair climb for 5 straight minutes now that my legs have had a week of rest. Fitness is weird.

Still at the fitness. Went up to like 50 minutes a day but had to taper back because my legs were getting too weak and couldn't recover properly. Still doing about 30 minutes with a recovery day and recovery exercises one day during the week, but taking a mainly dietary approach to weight loss now.

Progress on the weightloss journey. Started at 112 KG. Now down to 107 in the space of about a month. I do 35 minutes of cardio nonstop, then 15 minutes on 3 different weight machines. So I suffer around 4% of the day currently, but could probably get it down to 2% once I'm on maintenance.

Look that whole hating the left thing, that jig is up now. But the whole experience opened my eyes. So many qualities we hate in the right wing are right at home in the left, and I'm not real convinced they've still got mojo compared with predecessors. So I'm a skeptic, a centrist. Convince me.

Yeah so fucked myself up at the gym, and have had too many things happen to be effective this week. I starved myself on Friday night and couldn't get up til 1pm Saturday from fatigue. Back on the horse tomorrow now that my muscles have recovered. Fit as fuck now, but still fat. Decided I'm centrist.

Decided to suffer for 1.042% of the day to get rid of my fatty liver. That's 15 minutes of the most grueling possible cycling, burning some 300 calories a day for my current bodyweight. May add 15 minutes of lifting at some point and finally get swole.
