I attended a performance of La La Land live last night! The orchestra was conducted by Justin Hurwitz (the film's composer) himself. Hearing the music live was incredible, especially the jazz sequences. Afterwards, Justin Hurwitz did a meet and greet and I was able to get a couple autographs.

It's been a lot, though satisfying, work revising my very first novel STARPHOENIX. This is the ever dwindling "to do" list before I hit "send" to my publisher. Feels like I'm entering the final stretch!

Despite everything I managed to make some headway on my STARPHOENIX edits. Over the past week I cleared more than 50 spelling issues and over 500 grammar issues.

Kinda sucks when no one I know personally has read my latest novel (not to mention hardly anyone has read it at all). Yeah, I'm bummed about it. I just want to be able to talk about it with someone and see what they think, but oh well. 😕 Maybe my next novel will fare a little better.

Got a royalty check from my publisher! It wasn't much, but with all the craziness going on in the world and in my life it made me happier than usual. I really needed that feeling of knowing there are at least a few folks out there picking up my books.
