For this post I picked two very different, true and hopefully helpful quotes of two very famous authors. Stephen King is a phenomenal author, excellent in what he does, and even after more than 65 novels and novellas, he doesn't run out of ideas and keeps on going. He does have a lot to say about writing and offers friendly advice to amateur writers, but he is also known as a brutally honest critic.

In six books and numerous blog posts, we have found out that the entire Council of Twelve loves their sweets. Their favorite dessert is Tiramisu, and they go over length to get it, even if it means to nick it from under their consort's eyes when they're busy. It's Award Season! The Golden Globes 2026 are giving me the first opportunity this year to shine with my brilliant, very honest, and a tiny bit sharp-tongued fashion critics. Usually, those posts are strictly limited to fashion; in this case, we are looking at red-carpet pictures published across the internet. I don't voice any other concerns than my personal opinion about the dresses and outfits.

As often as people say: "I always get depressed over the Holidays", it has to be clear, that being depressed, as in a 'clinical depression', and having the Holiday Blues are not the same condition! This year is supposed to be better... I'm still waiting for 'the news'. Surprisingly, this year I didn't get any additional wrinkles, but I did get some additional grey hairs.

When it comes to writing, with six published books and the seventh in the series in line, I sometimes feel a little bit like I need to keep things in my books a secret, fearfully protecting my stories because I could give away too much to the ones who haven’t read ‘The Council of Twelve’ series yet. But aren’t the background stories, the little details, behind the scenes, the interesting part of our work?

During the next few days, the Pharao was unusually quiet and broody. We all waited for the darkness to lift, but it didn't. The time passed, but the skies stayed black, as if the darkness had swallowed everything and built walls that caged us. It was an unusual, oppressive feeling of being imprisoned. We all were under the impression that our world was getting smaller and smaller, and that the overarching darkness was swallowing parts of our lives.

I'm old-fashioned, and I'm a lady on the edge of her Zenit, which means all my life, I have been wishing strangers 'Merry Christmas' instead of the nowadays politically correct 'Happy Holidays'. You know this is no longer a matter of making other people feel comfortable or offended... I never intentionally hurt or insult anyone, and I don't plan to. But Christmas is a Christian Holiday, celebrated in the entire world by people of very different backgrounds and heritages.

Finally, I get to publish a post I have been working on since last summer! After switching from Mailchimp to MailerLite, I had to figure out how to create a Newsletter on MailerLite for the very first time and feared 'the worst'... and there wasn't even a reason! MailerLite is built to be self-explanatory. Of course, there are the 'normal' templates for everything, from a 'yoga-page newsletter' to an e-commerce for aetheric oils, but I am an author.

According to Matthew Wilson, who wrote for the BBC in June 2021, the disc halo originated in religious art in Iran around 300 BC. Within only a few centuries, aided by the Silk Route, it spread across entire Eurasia and bound artwork across the Christian, Buddhist, and Islamic religions, all featuring a halo around the head of a religious figure, symbolizing an aura of divinity.
