I know plenty of people who are not “naturally gifted” who do art.
It requires effort to learn. I feel you did not approach it correctly or think things happen over night.
Also hard work and skill is not “naturally gifted” as that undermines their efforts to draw.

La gente no hace arte por tener un dibujo o una novela propios. Lo hace por, literalmente, amor al arte. Por tener algo propio que cuesta esfuerzo, por disfrutar de la creación, ver nuestra propia capacidad de mejora.

It is scary as hell having to stare down that chasm again tbh. It burned me out hard before and setting limits/figuring out how to incorporate commissions into the work I *want* to be doing is tough.
So yeah, please support us, in the ways we *need* the support to do our work.

This does mean accepting less patreon rewards. This does mean occasionally skipping out on paying $$ for your own characters.
Weird art needs room to breathe, and 'I paid extra for my commission' isn't that. It's still just someone doing work that isn't theirs.

if you want artists to make weirder art, you have to create stable living conditions that allow them to. homogeneity isn't a matter of artists lacking culture-- there are many soulful artists out there-- it's a matter of unregulated corporate dominance combined with artists who cant afford to create
