I'm a terribly relentless perfectionist, much to my own detriment. It's one of the major reasons my releases are often so far apart. I often find myself completely unable to work on something at all, because I don't know what it *needs* to be "right". 🥺

I really liked running Kage, though I have to admit I wasn't very good at it. Been thinking about bringing it back a lot recently.
Throwback to 2016's "holiday" compilation, Fading Lights! I used to organize one of these every year for the YouTube channel I ran back in the day, but I only ever did one for the label. Maybe we'll get another out next year? 👀

It's ridiculous to talk about audio fidelity because all recorded music is from the past. We have no way to compare recorded music against the real music. We might think that the original music sounded clearer or fuller than the recording, but this is just a perverse nostalgia for an imagined past.

Kids today, they don't remember a few years ago when everything was liminal. They weren't aware of how liminal everything was—too young. I try to explain to my kids "You don't know what it's like to be immersed in so much liminality!" They don't care. People nowadays are interested in other stuff.

Being prolifically-creative feels really great. Been thinking about attempting a pretty ambitious project starting next year, but I think the scale may be a bit too much. Whatever the case, I expect I'll be putting out tons of new music over the course of 2025

Almost 8 years since my first full-length album, and I'm still pretty happy with it. There are things I wish I would've done differently, but that's the way I feel about all of my music, really. Hopefully there's another album coming in the next...well, I don't really know, but possibly "soon" 😁
