Since I have been rereading/watching the Sonic Idw comics lately (Tangle and Whisper are peak) Y'all remember the time Metal Sonic straight up had an Identity crisis
During the Metal Virus Arc Metal realized that he is the clone and not the real Sonic since he didn't turn to a robot

Personally have no real interest in seeing the Super Mario Galaxy film. But I will say one thing that the trailer made cook in my mind is the headcanon that Bowser is an artist. Not just a visual one, but also a musician. Effectively, Bowser being creative.

im just saying if illumination cant work with a character's established traits to make them expressive.... thats a whole ass skill issue and comes across like they dont care at all. Including the voice. Dont care if it's stupid for me to care this much; he is my FAVOURITE THING IN THE WORLD.

I think the thing that really gets to me, is that Bowser Jr. IS cute. The whole point is that he doesn't have a threatening appearance, and uses a mask to look cool. His insidiousness comes from his genuine intelligence and talent in invention!!
Also... why isn't a villain allowed to have nuance?
