If this is ICE I don't think they have any authority to clear a public street. CBP has more authority to enforce local laws. But I can't tell who these goons are other than generic regime goons.

Why not? Can you cite any statute that makes this illegal?
If ICE acted as it is supposed to, going after actual criminals (particularly violent criminals), showed warrants, didn't beat people up, didn't attack bystanders--then no one would BOTHER following them around.

Well, there is one example of assault by an ice officer. And the candle was CLEARLY blocking the driveway. Though he really should put it on the sidewalk, not on the property next to it

I don't suppose he has an example? Did he first check with Mercedes and Lamborghini dealers? This smells a lot like the fabled Welfare Queen. If there IS an actual example, yes, investigate, prosecute. But you can't blame all immigrants, or all Somalis. /1

One type of theft that might well follow the pattern of rape is porch pirating--not because of some shame element, but because people tend to bitch on social media rather than report to cops if the amounts are small; the cops tend to be too busy to investigate your vanished Amazon fresh order.

on the other hand, a DECREASE in, say, murder doesn't seem to indicate more people failing to report it; murder doesn't work that way. Because of the reluctance to report rape, a decrease in it might mean fewer rapes or more reluctance. No so murder, armed robbery, etc.

because it is the one least reported, historically. So a startling "rise" in it doesn't necessarily mean more rapes, just more reported rapes. And the rapes least reported, historically, have been rapes by people known to the victim. So a rise in THEM could just mean more people newly brave.

not sure i follow. I was only addressing whether an increased rape figure reflected stranger rape (danger on street) or close-ties rape that has been harder to report than even stranger rape is. You can't draw firm conclusions about safe streets based on the rise of this crime alone.

of course, one question is how many reports of rape are by those close to the women--if more women report that kind of thing, the figures will go up but the streets are not thus less safe.
