Just discovered a genre of music I hate. No, loathe:

White people covering R&B and pop tunes with acoustic guitar accompaniment.

I’m not one to typically defend the Black Eyed Peas. Or Britney Spears, for that matter. But why do white people with dreads demand their own “re-interpretation”?

Liberals now have an 8-point lead over Conservatives.

I don’t know if this is sustainable because it goes against long term trends in Canadian politics. But these are extraordinary times.

25% tariffs on auto imports is brutal.

This is going to kill so many jobs in Canada—unless the government does something drastic.

China is open to free trade with Canada.

In another time, I’d be against this. But since we’re now dealing with American tariffs, the Canadian economy needs to diversify.

Of course, free trade with China would also mean they don’t own our critical resources.

Was at the grocery store today, and these tariffs are being treated *very* seriously.

Canadian goods are being labelled very prominently to the point where it’s implied that your duty is to buy Canadian whenever the opportunity arises.

Haven’t seen this kind of awareness of a crisis since COVID.
