Maple MAGA loves Canada.

Until Canada asserts that it’s Canada.

Then they hate Canada and want to be Americans.

Trump shared this image on Truth Social.

If you’re still wondering if Trump is joking, this should be a wake up call.

He’s not just claiming Venezuela. He doesn’t just want to take Greenland.

He’s coming for Canada too.

Absolutely, I believe US may try to physically invade Canada.

This is why I believe it’s so important to diversify trade, build our military, and burnish our sovereignty.

Brought up Dwight Yoakam in a casual conversation at Tim Hortons.

And this random lady pipes up, “And the best thing about him, his jeans!”

Which was followed by a boy yelling, “Grandma!”

Koreans have successfully claimed an entire letter of the alphabet:

K-pop. K-dramas. K-beauty.

It’s at the point where the letter “K” is simply theirs.

Never thought I would say this, but Star Wars is actually a good analogy for what’s going on with the USA right now:

The conflict is whether they’re an Empire or Republic. They can be one or the other. But not both.

U.S. President Donald Trump says his country doesn’t need Canadian products, but he has also repeatedly expressed a desire to turn Canada into a ‘cherished’ state.

Got the chance to play SiN today.

And I just realized something. This is still a PC exclusive. Never arrived on console.

This is an example of why retrogaming discussions are incomplete if “historians” don’t talk about PC gaming.
January 18, 2026 at 10:21 AM
The joke about PC gaming is that people pay $5,000 for a super high-end GPU that can play everything at 4K 120fps with ray tracing...

...only to spend the bulk of time on 2D Indies that are perfectly fine on a potato.

And in my case, that's absolutely true. 😳

Playing Xbox 360 games recently and…

God damn, so many games have terrible framerates.

How did we put up with this back in the day?

Nothing is as insufferable as straight people who hate the opposite sex.

If your gender is so great, date them.

“But I’m not attracted to my gender.”

Then stop dating people you resent.

No one is entitled to sex or a partner.

Can’t handle being alone? Change yourself. Not 50% of humanity.

I’m glad that USA doesn’t “need” Canada.

We know what happens to countries that USA “needs”.

They get invaded (Venezuela) or they’re threatened with invasion (Greenland).

1,000 games were just removed from the PlayStation store, all published by ThiGames.

That's ~10% of the entire PlayStation library.

None of these games are on Steam. Which surprises me because Steam has a lot of shovelware too.

Looking at this list of upcoming new releases, I just had a realization:

There’s lots of Switch 2 exclusives. There’s lots of PC exclusives.

But PS5 and Xbox exclusives are few and far between. If it’s on PS or Xbox, it’s likely on PC too.

However, it was bought by CDPR co-founder Michał Kiciński. So it looks like it's in safe hands.

Armadillo Racing was released in 1997. And only in arcades—no home releases ever.

It's kind of like Ridge Racer. Except with armadillos instead of cars.

I'm comparing it to Ridge Racer is because it's made by Namco, the same company that brought us Ridge Racer.

Watching hip hop slowly morph into 90s alternative rock has been fascinating.

This music video for "Punk Rocky" is a case in point.

This isn't just alternative rock in terms of sound but also the whole '90s aesthetic. It even stars Winona Rider—which is as 90s as it gets.

Gone in 60 Seconds on VHS.

I haven’t seen it yet. I keep hearing it’s better than its reputation. Nicolas Cage is in it, so statistically I’m obligated.

Why VHS. It was $1. I still have an all-in-one CRT with a built-in VCR.

Also, physical media still matters. Even when it’s ridiculous.
December 29, 2025 at 6:15 AM
Millennials are the last generation to be defined by physical media.

Think about that.

Gen Z and Alpha will have a hard time passing their art down to their children, and explaining why their art meant something.
