Thank you for that reminder. This war that we’re in is definitely exhausting and there is a perceived need to take a rest of the incessant bullshit. But this essay reminds us all that even with my 60+ years old body, I cannot merely “choose” my battles, but keep fighting. For all of it.
Tonight, a number of my friends and coworkers were furloughed by their employer, the us government and won’t return to their jobs until the govt opens again - whenever that is. These are dedicated public servants who have dutifully served their country and now have been betrayed by fascist cowards.

One of the two children killed in the Minneapolis Catholic school shooting was identified by his family as 8-year-old Fletcher Merkel. Fletcher's father said his little boy loved his family, friends, fishing, cooking, and "any sport that he was allowed to play."
