Australia might see its first orbital launch in 50 years happen THIS week. Gilmour Space plan to test their Australian designed and manufactured Eris rocket no earlier than May 15th. This has been years in the making and is a huge milestone for sovereign space capability.

The #nasa #crew10 launch was scrubbed today due to issues on ground. There is another window tomorrow. Hopefully the issue is addressed swiftly so a new crew can join the ISS and Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore can finally return planet-side.

The planets are out to kick off 2025! This month take in six planets at the same time including Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Venus (you'll need a good telescope to spot Neptune and Uranus). The Moon will join the party, then step aside as it fades from full illumination over the rest of the month.

Great talk today by Prof Michele Dougherty, PI for the magnetometer instrument on #cassini mission to #Saturn, and now #juice mission to #Jupiter's moons. Measuring magnetic fields around the gas giant moons revealed oceans beneath their surfaces, time to find out more!
